Additional Information

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic in Minneapolis, MN. This job is offering $30 - $37 per hour.

Diesel Mechanic job details:

• Light and heavy PM/ repair on industrial freight handling equipment and truck equipment.
• Driving of company truck and towing a trailer required
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of truck equipment as directed
• Pick up and deliver freight handling equipment to and from the terminals and the shop
• Use of many different hand and power tools
• Perform minor welding and cutting
• Perform proper disposal of all fluids used in the PM and repairs
• Fill out work orders on all work performed
• Communication via use of cell phone and text messaging
• Maintain equipment, tools, truck, and shop area in good order

Qualifications for our Diesel Mechanic positions:

• 2 - 4 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required
• Vocational/Technical or certification preferred
• Proficiency in the use of shop tools required
• A valid drivers license is required - current CDL license with air brake certification preferred, willingness to acquire CDL if you do not have one
• Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
